Air plants are a very easy houseplant for beginners, offering minimal care, pet and kid safety, and long-lasting enjoyment. These perfect indoor plants come in a nice variety, and the CTS Air Plants 10-Pack includes the very best quality greenhouse-grown and fresh, healthy specimens.
The 10-pack may include a mix of different types of easy-to-care-for air plants, such as Tricolor v melanocrater, scaposa, juncea, juncea red-green, caput medusae, fuchsii v gracilis, butzi, ionantha, brachycaulos green, and capitata peach. Raised outdoors in southern California, these plants are exposed to natural light, air, and occasional rains, without the use of any pesticides.
Instead, the plants are treated with healthy foliar sprays of light compost tea and protein emulsions every 14 days or so, resulting in vibrant, superior specimens compared to others on the market. Air plants truly thrive with lots of light, excellent airflow, and light watering. They should be kept in a sunny, south-facing window receiving at least 8 hours of sunlight per day, with the window opened for air circulation when possible.
Watering can be done by soaking the plants for 4-8 hours once every 1-2 weeks, or by thoroughly wetting them under a faucet if they appear dry. As air plants do not require soil, they can be staged in appropriately sized pots, glass plant terrariums, or left loose.
Most air plants start out green but may blush red, yellow, or other colors when in bloom. Blooms often feature purple flowers, and the specific colors received will depend on availability. The plants may or may not be in bloom upon arrival, and their sizes will range from small to medium, approximately 1.5 to 6 inches or larger, again depending on availability.
The CTS Air Plants Tillandsia 10-Pack makes a great gift for plant lovers, even those without a green thumb, as air plants are almost impossible to kill with their minimal care requirements. Whether given as a gift or kept for personal enjoyment, these vibrant, healthy air plants from CTS are sure to delight.
