Since every situation is different, there is no set time interval for when to water cacti and succulents, as various factors such as humidity, light, and temperature play a role in the timing.

Succulents, on the other hand, should be fed with a controlled-release fertilizer at the beginning of the season or with a weak liquid solution on a weekly basis.

It's crucial to use well-drained soil for both cacti and succulents, as regular potting soil or dirt won't suffice. A cactus soil mix or a combination of potting soil, sand, pumice, and perlite should be used. These plants require approximately 6 hours of direct sunlight per day, and it's important to gradually increase their exposure to more sunlight.
