Growing Lantana from Seed: A Rewarding Experience

When it comes to growing Lantana, the key is to maintain consistent soil moisture and a steady temperature range between 70 and 75 F (21 to 24 C) both day and night. To achieve this, a simple yet effective method is to place the pots in a plastic bag and seal it, keeping them away from direct sunlight. Regularly check the pots and remove the bag as soon as the seedlings emerge, which can take a month or more to germinate.

To start, soak the Lantana seeds in water for 24 hours. Then, prepare a well-draining potting medium by mixing equal parts of potting soil, sand, perlite, or vermiculite. Moisten the mixture, but ensure it is not overly wet. Next, place the seeds on the soil and cover them with a thin layer.
